Western Slope Faith JournalGrand Junction, Colorado

The Western Slope Faith Journal reads its mail. Corrections, source suggestions, questions about coverage and records from readers with firsthand knowledge of a congregation's history all reach the editors at editor@fbcgj.org. The journal is a publication, not a church, and cannot forward messages to any congregation.

What to write about

Corrections carry the most weight: a date, a name, a building detail or a source citation that the record supports differently, ideally with the source named, a newspaper item, a library file, an anniversary booklet. Source suggestions are welcome in the same spirit, particularly local history materials, denominational records or photographs that document congregational life on the Western Slope. Questions about coverage, requests for topics the journal should treat, and notes about broken links are all read. Genealogists and researchers can ask where a record is likely to live, though the editors cannot conduct research on request.

What the journal cannot do

This publication does not forward messages to First Baptist Church of Grand Junction or to any congregation, does not publish announcements, events listings or devotional submissions, does not accept guest articles or sponsored content, and does not send bulk mail. Readers seeking a congregation's service times, ministries or pastoral care should contact that congregation directly through its own current website and channels.

Before writing

The journal's coverage and methods are described on the about page, and its publication terms on the legal notice page. A note that names its subject precisely, a page URL and a source where one exists, will reach the right editor fastest.
